Rust is a chemical reaction, which essentially refers to the oxidation reaction of metals. A common rust situation is that iron products are exposed to the air for a long time, and oxidation reaction occurs with oxygen. Or it is corroded by oxygen in the water to become oxides.
As we all know, the slewing bearing is an important component of many mechanical equipment, and it is also a metal product. If it is not used for a long time or rusted due to improper maintenance, it will greatly reduce the overall performance, and even make the entire slewing ring directly invalid. Therefore, in the process of daily use, the anti-rust work of the slewing bearing is also a very important step.
Soaking: soak it in anti-rust grease to adhere a thick layer of anti-rust grease on the surface. The thickness of the oil film can be achieved by controlling the temperature and viscosity of the anti-rust grease. The grease can effectively block the contact between the slewing bearing and the air. Can achieve anti-rust effect.
Spraying: For large slewing bearings, the immersion method cannot be used for oiling, and the filtered compressed air with a pressure of about 0.7Mpa can be used for spraying in a clean air. The spray method is suitable for solvent-diluted anti-rust oil and thin-layer anti-rust oil, but corresponding fire protection and labor protection measures must be taken. This method is mostly used in the process of anti-rust treatment of large slewing bearings.
Brushing: It is suitable for slewing bearings and special-shaped bearings that are not suitable for immersion or spraying. When brushing, it is necessary to pay attention to not accumulating anti-rust oil, but also to prevent leakage.
